A different way to understand your weight story.
THE OLD ANSWER WAS TOO SMALL
You can know what to eat. You can know how to work out. You may have even lost the weight before and kept it off for years.
None of that explains what happens when food, fitness, stress, identity, responsibility, and everything you have been carrying become tangled together.
Chubby Chicks Fitness is for women who are tired of being handed the same instructions for a much bigger problem.
You may want to understand why the same patterns keep returning. You may want something private you can work through on your own. Or you may want a reason to leave the house, get active, and spend time with other women without feeling like you have to prove anything.
Start here when you are tired of explanations that stop at food and exercise. The Method helps you understand how weight, food, fitness, stress, identity, and starting over became connected.
Use a workbook or self-paced tool to look closely at one part of the pattern privately. No challenge, no group, and no need to change everything at once.
Walk, hike, try a class, join a workshop, or do something because it sounds fun. Each Arizona experience is offered on its own, with no membership or weekly commitment.
ABOUT COREE
What began with one walk grew into more than 1,500 hikes and a much bigger question about weight, fitness, and starting over.
That’s me on the far left. In 2009, I was more than 325 pounds and looking for people to work out with. I couldn’t find a group where I felt comfortable, so I started one. Along the way, I lost more than 160 pounds.
But it was not my first major weight loss. I had lost large amounts before, kept the weight off for years, and eventually gained it back. After living that pattern more than once, I wanted to understand why knowing what to eat and how to exercise had never been the whole answer. That question became The Obese to Peace Method.
FROM THE EARLY CCFIT YEARS
These reflections came from women in the original CCFit community. They found friendship, confidence, laughter, and proof that they could do more than they thought. CCFit looks different today, but that part of its history still matters.
Since 2009, women have found friendship, encouragement, laughter, and a place to get active without having to keep up or prove they belonged. These reflections come from the earlier CCFit community, and that sense of connection still matters here.
"I go slower than the other hiking groups I have tried and I can participate with Chubby Chicks. I have tried other activities with Chubby Chicks and they were fun. I have been in the Chicks for a few years and it's a great group of women and support.
"Great way to meet new friends. And enjoy the area!"
CCFit no longer runs on weekly hikes or a membership. But I am not giving up the part where women got outside, tried something new, laughed, and found people they felt comfortable with.
Occasional Arizona walks, hikes, classes, workshops, and other one-time experiences will keep that part of CCFit going.
